Learning From the Masters-Michelangelo and Ingres

Using a Michelangelo statue as a model Steve renders a charcoal drawing using tools employed by these two artists. The key concepts in this video are: employing the ‘S’ curve which was prevalent in the 16^th century; illustrating how two lines interact to create form; the use of scale as a form of expression. He also discusses some basic drawing tools and techniques.
